Before the transformation

This is a commercial space , so we need to determine the objectives and requirements of the landscape design to meet the specific purpose and functional requirements of the commercial space , and to create a comfortable , convenient and attractive environment , taking into account the perception and experience of the users of the commercial space . The architectural form is integrated with landscape design to create an atmosphere and style that matches the commercial brand positioning . Choose plants that are suitable for the characteristics and needs of the business place and arrange them in a reasonable way to create greenery . Considering the flow and layout of the commercial space and coordinating with the commercial activities to provide smooth space guidance . Consider the maintenance needs and management of landscape design to ensure the long-term sustainability of the landscape .

This project is different, and what makes it unique is that it is an external landscape that we designed. However, unlike our previous projects, this one has some special requirements. It is not just a landscape, but also needs to take into account a variety of functional needs, such as a party. For such a space, multiple needs may exist at the same time. Therefore, in the design process, we carefully considered many factors that are compatible with the commercial space. 

The uniqueness of the business landscape

Although the space area is not spacious, only more than 200 square meters, but we focus on two aspects: First, to achieve a rich functional display；Secondly, to understand and demonstrate the design concept of different spaces. We wanted the space to be more than just an office . We wanted it to feel like a private home . It needs to be comfortable enough for a family to live in and lively enough for friends and family to gather .

At the same time, given the landscape design of this commercial space, the attributes are very important, and the facilities required by the employees are even more advanced.

Within this relatively small space, we strive to meet diverse functional needs, demonstrating our deep understanding of different spaces and ingenious design.

Functional Space Design

In the design of this functional space, we focused on a change in levels to create a richer and unique experience.

We divided different areas, such as leisure areas and movable spaces, creating different feelings and atmospheres by using different materials such as wood flooring, stone, etc.

In addition, we designed a sofa with a layered structure, and cleverly combined the hard and soft decoration, so that the whole space has a sense of hierarchy。From the point of view of business, we take into account the needs of product display, but also meet the functional requirements of the outdoor leisure area.

Through layer design changes, we solved the design problem. Overall, this design is extremely creative in its understanding of large spaces and its graphic layout, which can provide a rich space for experiences and activities in a business environment.

Casual Card Design

Why should landscape architects incorporate the design of a seating area into their considerations? As a design element, the card is often used and displayed in both residential and commercial places. So why do designers love them so much?

First, the cards have the capacity to accommodate many people and are adapted to the needs of a dense crowd.

Secondly, a card is also an expression of landscape design, making it part of a landscape element, Incorporation into the surrounding landscape elements such as water features and vegetation gives the entire space a more coordinated aesthetic, and although the fixed brackets may have some shortcomings in terms of comfort, its landscaping is exceptional.

The presence of a compass increases the sense of completeness of the entire space. In outdoor environments, due to the limitations of weather and other factors, we usually don't lie on a card for a long time. Although in modern conditions, we have many spaces such as enclosed sunhouses, and these places often do not have a design for cradles. However, in open landscape areas, we can consider designing such a cradle to elevate the landscape level of the space.

All in all, this design is a combination of aesthetics and functions, using the cards as part of an exalted space landscape. Therefore, it is very important to focus on balancing these two factors in the creative process of a landscape architect.

Water Systems Design

The biggest highlight of this design is the selection of natural yellow emerald material, showing the stone's unique texture and cracks, perfectly blending with modern design elements.

When the lights and water start , the landscape of the whole space is refreshed , giving people a lively and lively feeling . The water system is an indispensable element in the landscape . Without the injection of water , the landscape will be monotonous and boring .

Moreover, the entire design not only considers the rationality of the space layout, but also fully combines commercial factors, integrating product display with leisure viewing, creating a comfortable and natural feeling for people.

Woody landscapes

The space gives a depressing and solemn feel, which is how I feel personally. These plants are connected to each other and their branches show attractive beauty. When you look at them closely, it's as if they grew out of a wilderness, yet they have beautiful leaves.

When you cross the other side of the garden, you will find that it is actually very noisy, after all, it is a building site。However, I think its design incorporates our architectural forms into it and makes this place softer.There is no clear boundary between plants and architecture, and they blend harmoniously, giving a soothing and elegant feeling.

We call such a garden a ballless garden, which is located inside towering concrete walls and gives a feeling of being in a mountain forest. Each plant has chosen the best position according to its condition, giving the overall landscape an excellent effect.

Walking into this space, you feel as if you are immersed in an outdoor world. These plants, which smell like weeds, have no clear boundaries and merge with each other to form a peaceful and beautiful green shelter.

This style of plants gives a firm and peaceful feel without an overly strong sense of conflict. Especially in sinking spaces, they create a very comfortable environment.
